Cookie Information
Cookies are packets of information made up of numbers and letters that do not contain personal information. Our websites (including but not limited to: klippe.hu, moodle.klippe.hu, or any website under the klippe.hu domain and its subdomains) send these packets to your browser to store settings information, simplify the use of the websites, and help gather statistical information about visitors. Cookies cannot identify individual users and do not contain personal data. Cookies are either deleted after closing the website or stored by the user’s browser for a longer period. Cookies often contain a unique identifier as well.
Cookies can be disabled, and files related to previous visits can be deleted. This can be done differently in each browser. You can read more about this for Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Edge.
On the klippe.hu website, we run visit analysis software, Google Analytics, operated by Google Inc. (“Google”), which automatically places small data files on users’ computers that may contain personal information in certain cases. We inform users about this and request their consent upon their first visit to the site. These data files are necessary for the functioning of certain features of the website, and the information derived from previously received data files is sent to the operator. You can read more about the exact names (_ga, _gat, _gid) and functions of these data files here. Google Analytics stores the IP address received through the browser in an anonymized manner, so it cannot be linked to the user. The data is stored for 14 months, and this period restarts if a new event occurs in connection with the user (e.g., starting a new session). If you want to prevent Google Analytics from adding your visit to the analytics on any website, use this extension (available for any browser).
Google also uses cookies to link user activities across different devices if they have previously logged into their Google account. This is done to coordinate the ads displayed to users across devices and measure conversion events. If you do not want Google ads to appear to you in a coordinated manner across your devices, you can turn off ad personalization using the Ad Settings.
Our sites may also use the services of third-party advertisers (Google, Facebook, LinkedIn) to send ads and optimize our marketing communications. Third-party advertisers may use cookies to measure the effectiveness of ads and personalize ad content. Information collected by third-party advertisers may include geolocation data (determined based on the IP address) or contact information such as email addresses.
On our moodle.klippe.hu site, we use temporary (session) cookies that are stored until the end of your browsing session when the browser is closed. These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of certain features of the site or applications.
You can find detailed information about the cookies used by our websites in the notifications displayed on the respective sites.
